Thank you for your interest in joining the Washington Contract Firefighters Association. This association was established to provide training and promote professional standards in the private firefighting community. We will also strive to develop a mutual respect among our served agencies. Our current bylaws require that prospective members be voted in. Voting will be held at the next meeting following receipt of this application. Prospective members are requested to have an existing member as a sponsor. Members are required to have or plan on obtaining a U.S.F.S. region 6 or equivalent, agreement. Dues are payable by January 31 and are required to be paid in full before any training is utilized. Please fill out the following information and return to the WCFA Secretary at the address below. You will also be asked to provide a current copy of your business license and proof of L&I Insurance.

Article V: Function (of WCFA)

V.1) Responsibility

It will be the responsibility of the Executive Board to see that the WCFA functions in a proper, professional, efficient and legal manner using these bylaws as a guideline in the pursuit of that endeavor. It is the responsibility of the membership to guide the E-Board by attending meetings, voting and participating whenever possible. It is also the responsibility of each member of the WCFA to conduct business in a professional, safe, honest and courteous manner, following all set rules, regulations, laws and standards of State and Federal agencies.

I have read the above paragraph and will read the complete set of WCFA bylaws when I am given access to them. As a member, I will commit myself, my employees and my company to abide by the bylaws as adopted by the WCFA. In addition, I will do everything possible to set a positive image as a WCFA member and as a contractor.
