New Training Coordinator Selected |

Brad Martin has recently been selected by the executive board to fill the postion of Training Coordinator for the WCFA.
With 35 years of wildland firefighting experience, Brad has spent over 20 years of that time involved in training. He retired from the position of fire chief with Stevens county Fire District #1 in 2003. Prior to that he has served as Training Captain/Duty Chief for Spokane County Fire Districts 4 & 8. Since his retirement he has worked for Chewack Wildfire as a training coordinator and strike team leader. As an instructor for WCFA for the past three years, Brad is certified to teach I-100, S-130/190, S-215, S-230/231 as well as annual refresher classes. He is carded with the USFS as a Division Supervisor and a Safety Officer Type 2. Brad is excited to be selected to fill this position. He has always enjoyed training firefighters and helping them to increase their knowledge and skills. It is also satisfying to him to know the firefighters are safer with the additional training.
