Classes available on-line at no cost I-100 Introduction to ICS An overview of the basic incident command system. http://training.nwcg.gov/classes/i100.htm IS 700 NIMS Introduction to Emergency Management This class is required for all firefighters for the 2008 season http://training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/is700a.asp The following classes are offered by the WCFA. All classes meet the requirements of NWCG. Our instructing is authorized through our memorandum of understanding with the Pacific Northwest Coordination Group. See our training calendar for dates and follow the links for registration and payment. RT-130 Annual Refresher 8 hrs This is the annual refresher class required by all returning fire personnel. It reviews various fire safety issues, use of the fire shelter and other selected topics. S-130/190, L-180, I-100, PMS-409 Basic Firefighter ll Training 32 hrs This series of classes certifies a new firefighter as a FFT2. It includes basic firefighting(S-130), Basic Fire Behavior (S-190), Introduction to ICS (I-100), Human Factors on the Fireline (L-180) and Fire Shelter Training (PMS-409). This class normally has 3 days of classroom work and one day of field exercises. Firefighter l Training S-131, S-133 These two classes meet the classroom training requirement for FFT1 or squad boss. S-131 is the firefighter l training and S-133 focuses on supervisory skills on the fireline. Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior S-290 Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior is one of the required classes for becoming a crew or engine boss. Crew Boss S-230 /Engine Boss S-231 S-230 is required training to become a Single Resource Boss - Crew. S-231 is required for all Single Resource Boss-Engine. Wildland Power Saw Class S-212 S-212 will certify a firefighter to operate a saw on a wildfire incident and meets the required training for a certified saw operator on a Region 6 engine.
