Training Committee (TC) Meeting was called to order by the WCFA Training Coordinator, Danielle Sims at 1800 hours. Those present were TC members, Todd Graves, Reed Gracie, Tim Logozzo Sr., and Dave Rains.
Danielle shared the 2025 – RT-130 Refresher course she had finished developing. The entire TC accepts the course as presented and approves it for distribution.
Danielle discussed inviting all instructors to a zoom to preview the class prior to classes starting so she could share the details behind its creation. She also wants a couple of contributors to share their units as well.
Danielle shared that Don Strand, our S-230 instructor, lost his qualifications and could no longer teach this class for us. Todd shared that he may be able to teach the class because he is currently qualified and has taught it many times in his career. A few other possible instructors were mentioned to consider.
Todd asked if there were new IRPG’s, Danielle shared that there were, and they would cost $6 plus per copy. The TC decided to absorb the cost rather than raise the class fees. Danielle will order new ones when they are available.
Todd shared that he would need all his training materials replaced since his shop fire, Danielle will order these and send them to him.
Reed said he would like to join as a unit instructor. Danielle will see that he is briefed and given a copy of this season’s class.
